Introduction
Here we sit at Clover Cabana on a typical week night. We're in the basement, but our basement is lovely.
Anne occupies the left half of the large couch as she "writes her thesis" (no, really, she does).
Trisha sits beside Anne. She is Facebook chatting and playing on her Iphone. She wants Anne to feel her leg, because she apparently has a "knot." Anne does so and confirms that there is indeed a knot there. Trisha explains that she "got stuck between a shelf and a stair." Then, Trisha closes her computer and decides to go to sleep.
Emily is comfortably propped in the posh brown chair contributed by the lovely Jill R. Johnson (who is currently sprawled on the love seat adjacent to said posh brown chair). Emily is playing the "Pants on the Ground Remix" and Anne decides to dance around the living room (as she relieves graduate school tension). Emily then says, "I hate it when men beat around the bush." Jill makes a snarky comment pertaining to Emily's last statement. We all laugh, and Flip makes some unintelligible noise.
Jill has a black and red knit afghan draped over her legs, and she looks very cozy. She tells Emily (who baked a cake that we cannot eat): "By the way, if a piece of your cake is missing in the morning, you'll know I was hungry." We all agree internally that one should not bake a cake for others without baking a cake for the people you live with. It just ain't right.
Tonight we don't know where Oliga is, but we assume she is enjoying her stay in Moldova. Let it be known that we miss her terribly.
Also, we cannot forget Flip, the faithful canine companion (who frequently runs away). He is currently on the floor chewing his toe nails.
Well, that is the end of our first blog entry. We hope that you join us for the entertaining posts to come.
